Heroic Hearts Project connects military veterans with ayahuasca therapy. This zine and brochure started as a class project, not something they commissioned. I chose the subject because I’m a Marine veteran and their work played a big part in where I ended up after my own experience. Spending a whole term with the material brought a lot of that back for me.
The layouts are built around Jeremy Lock’s photography from the retreats and designed as a print editorial system that could work across both pieces.
